Around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, CBS affiliate KPHO-TV was airing an episode of the syndicated “The People’s Court” when an election results “squeeze” ticker appeared on screen, listing “99%” of precincts reporting on a nationwide basis and President Barack Obama receiving 43 percent of the vote to Mitt Romney’s 40 percent.

The graphic remained on screen for about 17 seconds.
