Devlin Design Group helps expand Phoenix set

Phoenix independent station KTVK-TV, owned by Belo Corp., debuted a new addition to its set earlier this year.

The addition was designed by Devlin Design Group with versatility in mind.

With a distinct interview area and round desk, the addition added many new elements to KTVK-TV’s presentation.

“The round desk, with its color changing capabilities, can be rolled around and positioned in different areas of the set. The interview platform, when not in use, rolls back under the set as part of the design,” wrote Devlin Design Group in a release.

The set makes use of large back lit walls and feature graphics that are “geometric and organic.”

Two 70″ touch screens are located on the set, framed by color-changing acrylic, along with a rear projection screen.

“Both which provide KTVK a lot of versatility in presenting breaking news stories, evening news or for showcasing their morning news show. The color changing LED lights help to create different moods and looks to the set.”

The combined elements give the set a modern, sleek look and matches the stations existing set.
