NYC station puts bug on ice

In case the nationwide back-to-back coverage of live shots with reporters standing outside saying it’s cold out (and ending up in the hospital with frostbite) isn’t enough to get the point across, WABC-TV found another way to emphasize the sub-zero temps blanketing its viewing area — by adding some ice to its bug.

The New York City ABC O&O’s time and temp bug was spotted sporting an icy motif complete with tiny icicles by NY Newser, who tweeted a photo of it.

Time to roll out the ice anchor desks and ice chroma key walls again?
