HLN has updated Studio 7 in CNN Center in Atlanta, replacing what was once a signature element of its set designs.

Gone is the wide, blended curved rear projection screen — and in is a multisection LED wall.

The set updates, designed by Clickspring Design using Leyard RTVH 1.6mm panels, are framed by backlit and wood sections, and are designed to be used as both standup and sit down interview backdrops.

The updates were fabricated by iD3 Atlanta, with lighting design by Turner Broadcasting System Atlanta and integration by AV Design Services.

For interview-style segments, a riser with sofas is brought in front of the video wall.

The original Studio 7 was designed as the main Atlanta set for CNN when it debuted in 2010.

The set was converted for sister network HLN in 2015, with the basic layout remaining the same. Changes included the addition of darker wood tones, the HLN logo and a more open work space in the background.
