Fox O&O WFLD, unlike WBBM, WLS and WMAQ was already in the middle of its live noon newscast when the news of an impending verdict broke so it rolled the coverage right into the last part of the broadcast.

After the verdict was announced, the station switched to a “Van Dyke Guilty” logo in the lower right.

‘Good Day Chicago’ anchor Anthony Ponce appeared at the station’s ‘Live Desk’ position during the breaking news coverage.
