‘Up with David Gura’ goes geometric with a touch of fun

For lower thirds, the yellow triangle was used, pointing right, in the top tier, while the main tier includes blue and gray linear elements.

The show originates from NBC’s Studio 4E newsroom area, making use of the space’s video walls featuring an ‘Up’ branded strip in front of the Washington, D.C. cityscape. The show also featured the studio’s world map and dotted red wall.

The ‘Up’ logo was strategically positioned to show up prominently behind some guest positions at the roundtable-style desk.

The show tries to avoid using the ‘control room’ background behind the newsroom work area used prominently during ‘MSNBC Live,’ instead using a different angle that shows one of the newsroom’s video wall arrays with ‘Up’ branding in the distance.
