Imagine Communications adds AI-assisted scheduling to Landmark platform

Contributed Content / Press Release April 1, 2026

Imagine Communications is introducing AI-assisted scheduling capabilities within its Landmark Rights & Scheduling platform at the 2026 NAB Show, scheduled for April 19-22 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The new functionality applies machine learning to routine scheduling tasks, such as overnight and off-peak programming, with the goal of reducing manual effort. The system is designed to keep human operators involved in decision-making while automating repeatable workflows.

Vicki Knox, director of commercial product management at Imagine Communications, said the AI acts as an assistant that learns from existing planning processes and respects current business rules. The platform combines program content and advertisements into frame-accurate playlists for live, streaming, and on-demand channels.

The AI-assisted features are embedded within the Landmark platform, ensuring that data remains secure and contained within each organization’s environment. Dan Walsh, senior vice president of product management at Imagine Communications, emphasized the company’s focus on innovation that addresses real workflow challenges while maintaining data protection.

The capabilities are currently available and have been demonstrated to several global media organizations. Early feedback highlights efficiency gains, improved scheduling consistency, and better allocation of staff time toward prime-time strategy and editorial planning.

The introduction of AI-assisted scheduling aligns with industry trends where automation and AI are increasingly requested in requests for proposals. Imagine Communications plans to continue developing the technology based on customer needs and emerging technologies.

Attendees of the NAB Show can see live demonstrations of the AI-assisted scheduling features at Imagine Communications’ booth #N1328.
