The Walt Disney Co. will begin carrying fan-created TikTok videos on Disney+, expanding the streaming service’s push into short-form vertical programming.

Under an agreement announced Wednesday, selected videos from TikTok creators will appear in Verts, the vertical-video feed available through the Disney+ mobile app. The companies said the program will begin as a U.S. pilot in the coming months, with plans to introduce it in other markets.

Participating TikTok creators must opt in to the program. Their videos will remain available on TikTok while also appearing on Disney+, where the collection will be refreshed regularly.

The videos will incorporate characters, scenes and stories from Disney properties, including Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and FX. TikTok will give participating creators access to approved materials connected to hundreds of Disney films and television series.

The agreement gives Disney+ a supply of creator-produced videos intended to encourage subscribers to spend more time inside the app and discover movies and series through fan commentary, trends and other short-form content.

Disney introduced Verts in the U.S. in March 2026 as a mobile-first feed of vertical videos. The feature was designed to help subscribers browse clips and find longer programs to watch without leaving Disney+.

“The best storytellers are fans first,” Disney Chief Marketing and Brand Officer Asad Ayaz said in a statement. He said the collaboration would connect Disney’s stories with the videos and other work they inspire from creators.

Disney and TikTok will also establish a Disney Creator Ambassador Program. The tiered program will provide selected creators with increased exposure, invitations to events, career development opportunities and other rewards.

Dawn Yang, TikTok’s global head of entertainment, said creator videos can extend the life of movies and television programs by turning them into continuing online conversations.

The companies described the agreement as a way to formalize the role TikTok increasingly plays in entertainment discovery. TikTok said its users shared an average of 6.5 million film- and television-related posts each day in 2025.

TikTok also said nearly half of the viewers it surveyed watched a movie or television program on a streaming service or traditional television after first discovering related content on TikTok. The figures were based on TikTok’s internal research.
