Raleigh anchor Eric Miller headed to KING in Seattle

WRAL anchor and reporter Eric Miller is leaving the Raleigh, North Carolina, station for a new role at KING in Seattle, Washington.

Miller will anchor his final WRAL newscast Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, at 11 p.m. and officially leave the NBC affiliate Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, he confirmed to The News & Observer. He is set to join Tegna-owned NBC affiliate KING in October 2026 as a reporter and fill-in anchor.

Miller joined WRAL in 2021 as a multimedia journalist before moving into an anchor and reporter role. Before arriving in Raleigh, he worked at WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia.

A Georgia native, Miller graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a second major in political science.
