Local TV sites make switch to WordPress VIP CMS

Local TV websites have recently switched over to using the WordPress VIP hosting and content management platform, and with that comes a redesign for all of the sites.

Before being purchased by Oak Hill Capital Partners, Local TV stations were owned by the New York Times and used WorldNow’s content management system and video hosting solution.

The stations then switched over to Tribune Interactive’s platform.

The WordPress VIP service is offered to high traffic sites. In the TV industry, this includes, most notably, CBSNewYork.com.
