Launched on May 15, 2017, KAN (כאן, translated as ‘Here’) is the new primary channel of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. Earlier in the month, Israel dissolved the Israel Broadcasting Authority and Channel 1, which was founded in 1948, to reorganize its public broadcasting unit as the IPBA.
