Motion graphics and branding for KCBS and KCAL that launched on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

The design is part of the CBS News and Stations group graphics package that began rollout in late 2022 with KPIX. The package uses the “deconstructed eye” motif that appears across CBS divisions.

Alongside the graphics, the duopoly debuted a new studio and updated on-air branding that unified the stations as KCAL News, deemphasizing the CBS 2 brand.
