MSG Network moves into new studios

The Madison Square Garden Network has been transitioning out of its basement-level studio to a new facility located across the street from the famous sports arena.

The new studios, located at 11 Penn Plaza, gives the network multiple venues for programming, as well as increased technological capabilities.

According to FishbowlNY, Studio A will play host to the New York Knicks and New York Rangers post-game shows and the weekly “Hockey Night Live.” Meanwhile, Studio B will house pre-and post-game shows for the Knicks and Rangers when the teams are on the road.

The studio’s new sets were designed by Keith Raywood, the man behind the “Saturday Night Live” set. Some of the interesting touches Raywood incorporated include backdrops of inside Madison Square Garden and accents inspired by Penn Station, reports the New York Daily News.

The network will continue to make use of the “Geico Studio Suite” inside Madison Square Garden for pre-game coverage of both the Knicks and Rangers.
