Current ‘Countdown’ site launches

The official website of the the Current version of “Countdown” has launched.

The new site is a bit of a departure from the heavily-video driven site Countdown used when it was at MSNBC, though video updates are placed in the center of the page.

It will be interesting to see how much of this site’s design, if any, was dictated by the show’s graphical look — such as the monochromatic color scheme, clean, simple text treatment for the logo and bekoh light effects in the background.

It also remains to be seen what set the show will use. Many of Current’s programming originates from a set replicated after the famous John Lautner-designed Chemosphere house.
