Gannett stations all using custom URL shorteners

Gannett’s TV stations are now all using vanity URL shorteners.

We previously reported that Gannett’s WXIA-TV and Allbritton’s WJLA-TV were using custom URL shorteners.

Most of Gannett’s shortening services use the format of placing the subdomain “on” under the station’s main domain, which is usually its call signs, though there are some exceptions.
