The Orlando Sentinel reports that Post-Newsweek’s WKMG-TV in the Central Florida city quietly debuted high definition news this weekend.
The station becomes the last one in the market to broadcast high def local news. ABC affiliate WFTV-TV went HD in 2006, with NBC affiliate WESH-TV following in 2007.
The station had been broadcasting is standard definition 16:9 since 2008. It also debuted a refreshed set and graphics package at this time.
