‘Today’ changes directions on graphics
NBC’s “Today Show” quietly rolled out a graphics update this week, changing the lower third.
The new lower third appears from the left (previously on the right) and is a bright orange color.
The change looks very quickly implemented and seems to have caught some affiliates off guard, as the ticker on some affiliates no longer fits into the space below the lower third.
The new design is also very clunky, taking a good thing and crashing it.
We’ll see if this is a sign of a larger graphical change coming?
