RTÉ News debuted an updated look, set and theme in late April.
Two studios were updated, Studio 3 and the smaller studio used for news headlines. The updates include new background graphics and a refreshed anchor desk. The last set update occurred in 2009.
The news theme was also reworked by composer Ronan Hardiman.
