Virtualsetworks debuts layered AE files

Virtualsetworks, a stock virtual set design company, has launched a new line of layered Adobe After Effects virtual sets, giving producers new control of design and setup.

The .aep files allow for easier customization, which previously would have required additional costs.

“These sets represent an enormous investment towards bringing more control and flexibility to the customer,” said Eric Pratt, CEO of Virtualsetworks. “No other virtual set product on the market gives you quite the same level of power.”

The virtual sets come as multilayered HD 1920×1080 After Effects Project files (.aep), each containing 16 angles and with multiple layers. Each scene component has separate layers for graphic, shadow, and UV maps for video elements. These UV maps can be employed using RevisionFX’s Re:Map UV plugin for After Effects to allow accurate mapping of multiple screen sources with precision reflections, said a company release.
