After 14 years without any local newscast, Evansville, Ind.’s WEVV-TV is reviving its news operation.

The CBS affiliate will begin offering local news Aug. 3 and is in the middle of producing dry run newscasts from its newly revamped studio in downtown Evansville.

The station went with a simple but flexible set from JHD Group that includes a 3×3 video wall flanked on one side but a printed graphic that creates extends on to the neighboring wall, as shown in a photo gallery from the local newspaper. Also included are two versatile standup areas with freestanding flat screens.

Newscasts will also make use of a blue and gold graphics package.
