7 ways stations name their morning newscasts

“Good Morning (City name)” is often used by ABC stations to match up with the network’s “Good Morning America” title.

Obviously, “(City name)” is replaced with the station’s city name, state or a regional name, depending on how large the station’s market is and how broad of an appeal the name needs to project.

“Good Morning (City name)” is also sometimes used as an image campaign for morning dayparts.
