‘CBS Evening News’

CBS News used a wider framed radar image along with the words “Hurricane Harvey” in a textured typeface next to anchor Anthony Mason during the top story segment of Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017’s edition of “CBS Evening News.”

The same typeface, which CBS uses frequently, was used on a textured map of Texas overlaid with “quick facts” about the storm’s potential effects.

The broadcast also piped in coverage from its affiliate in Dallas, KTVT.
