LiveU is adding to its portfolio of hardware-based HEVC field encoders and IP live video management service offerings.

At NAB 2019, the company will showcase the technologies that empower news stations, content producers, and sports organizations to tell the most compelling digital stories from anywhere — cost-effectively and at the highest quality possible.

“Our best-in-class LU600 HEVC solution is already the standard in the industry featuring flawless video quality for live news and sports coverage in the most challenging conditions,” said Avi Cohen, LiveU COO and co-founder, in a statement. “With the addition of our new LU300 HEVC field encoder, rack mounted HEVC encoders, and HEVC 4K-SDI solution, our customers can deploy HEVC on a larger scale, achieve more efficiencies in the field, and better compete in the market.”

LiveU and G1 Formula racing manufacturer Griiip will give attendees the chance to get under the hood to see the LU300 HEVC onboard the entry-level Formula race car.

Attendees will see how LiveU technology powered the highest speed multi-camera live stream ever and gave fans the ability to select from feeds of the whole race or an individual driver’s car.

LiveU Matrix is a highly efficient content curation service that empowers newsroom managers to quickly and easily give hundreds of affiliates unparalleled access to live feeds from LiveU units in the field and other sources without any interruption, additional resources, or expensive fees.

Live demonstrations of a new AI feature that will enable broadcasters to search, identify, classify, and route objects and people will be available.

Several of LiveU’s partners will demonstrate LiveU technology in their NAB booths including B&H: The Studio (Booth C10916), Broadcast Depot (C1616), PTZOptics (C3326), Accelerated Media Technologies (OE20023), Avid Technology (SU801), DVG (C860) and Network Innovations (OE12007).
