ABC 7 Chicago promotes ‘any time, any screen’ weather

In a promo airing on WLS, the ABC O&O in Chicago, the station promotes its weather team and multiplatform offerings to track storms.

The spot starts out referencing a local adage — that the city’s weather is always changing.

Viewers are then treated to views of weather from around the city and meteorologists at work in the station’s State Street Studio.

Throughout the spot, a blue background with grid texture is used along with large boxes with bold typography to emphasize key points.

These boxes are often “tucked” behind elements of the video imagery being shown on screen.
