NBC News created an augmented reality explainer video hosted by Steve Kornacki that helps explains how the Iowa caucus works.
In addition to the normal map of Iowa you’d expect to see on the floor of such a segment, designers also created floating vote “checkboxes,” and virtual “sticks” representing votes.
There’s also a virtual coin for a tool that can be used in case of a tie — an old fashioned quarter.
