Interra Systems integrates BATON QC into Encompass Digital Media’s cloud platform

Interra Systems, a provider of quality assurance solutions for the digital media industry, announced its integration of the BATON automated file-based quality control (QC) solution into Encompass Digital Media’s Altitude Flow platform.

Encompass Digital Media developed Altitude Flow, a cloud-native media processing platform, to centralize and unify its global operations. The company migrated complex QC workflows from on-premises hardware to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) using a phased deployment that maintains parallel on-premises and cloud operations.

Mark Samoulian, global vice president of media systems engineering at Encompass Digital Media, said the migration allows enterprise-scale workflows to operate without geographic constraints. He added that the approach avoids a “rip and replace” of existing QC processes while enabling flexibility and scalability.

Ashish Basu, executive vice president of global sales and business development at Interra Systems, said the integration offers a blueprint for media companies transitioning to cloud-enabled workflows. He noted that the migration preserves established workflow logic while providing efficiency and cost benefits.

The integration delivers several operational advantages, including dynamic scalability to manage high-volume video-on-demand workloads, centralized automated QC input for workflow control, increased throughput with reduced turnaround times, and standardized validation processes across global delivery pipelines.

Interra Systems will showcase the latest BATON platform and other QC and monitoring solutions, including ORION for real-time monitoring and VEGA Media Analyzer for technical analysis, at the 2026 NAB Show in Las Vegas from April 19-22 at booth W2243.
