Telemundo Puerto Rico launches FAST channel on Amazon Prime Video

WKAQ, NBCUniversal Local’s Telemundo Station Group station in Puerto Rico has launched its free ad-supported streaming television channel on Amazon Prime Video.

The channel, which was added to Prime April 21, 2026, follows the launch of the station’s Spanish-language channel for the mainland U.S. on Feb. 5, 2026.

“We’re pleased to expand the reach of our new streaming channel and bring WKAQ’s iconic entertainment programming and storied journalism to more audiences across the mainland U.S.,” said José Cancela, president, Telemundo Station Group, in a statement.

The Telemundo Puerto Rico streaming channel features the entire lineup of original entertainment and news content produced by WKAQ, including simulcast and encore presentations of WKAQ’s 80-plus hours of weekly variety, talk, comedy, lifestyle and family shows, as well as award-winning investigative series and news programs, according to the announcement.

Prime Video also includes Telemundo Station Group’s four 24-hour free regional news streaming channels from the Telemundo-owned stations – Noticias Telemundo California, Noticias Telemundo Florida, Noticias Telemundo Noreste and Noticias Telemundo Texas – and the 11 NBC-owned stations’ English-language streaming channels, which deliver locally produced news, lifestyle and original content.

WKAQ has delivered local news and entertainment programming throughout Puerto Rico since 1954, when it became the first local TV station to launch on the island, according to the group. WKAQ has played a key role in producing some of Puerto Rico’s most popular shows and events, including “El Show de las Doce,” “Llegó Menudo,” “Noche de Gala,” “Sábado Sensacional,” “Telecómicas” and “Dame un Break.”

El canal de streaming de Telemundo Puerto Rico presenta toda la programación original de entretenimiento y noticias producida por WKAQ, la estación propiedad de Telemundo con sede en San Juan, Puerto Rico. El canal ofrece transmisiones simultáneas y repeticiones de más de 80 horas semanales de programas de variedad, entrevistas, comedia, estilo de vida y familiares, así como de series investigativas galardonadas y programas de noticias.

Prime Video también incluye los cuatro canales regionales de noticias en streaming gratuitos 24/7 de Telemundo Station Group provenientes de estaciones propiedad de Telemundo – Noticias Telemundo California, Noticias Telemundo Florida, Noticias Telemundo Noreste y Noticias Telemundo Texas – así como los canales de streaming de las 11 estaciones propiedad de NBC, que ofrecen noticias locales, contenido de estilo de vida y programación original.
