Futuresource Consulting released research showing that 66% of organizations considered artificial intelligence capabilities an important factor when evaluating audiovisual systems.

The findings appeared in the company’s latest “AV Decision Maker Report,” which examined enterprise technology investment, vendor selection and purchasing plans.

The research found that 51% of organizations had expanded their office space since January 2025, while 49% had increased meeting room capacity. Displays were installed in more than three-quarters of meeting rooms worldwide.

More than two-thirds of organizations planned to increase their deployment of integrated meeting room systems during the next two years. Among organizations already using those systems, 85% reported being satisfied with their reliability and ease of use.

The report also identified a potential shift toward more flexible workplace policies. Although 52% of organizations currently operated under fully office-based policies, 23% expected to retain those policies in three years.

Real-time translation, captioning, transcription and meeting summarization were among the most widely deployed AI applications identified in the research.

The report combined responses from Futuresource’s Global AV Decision-Maker Survey with industry research and interviews with enterprise technology buyers.
