NewsNation will examine how artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies could reshape work, health care and everyday life during a two-hour town hall Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
“The Future is Now: A NewsNation Town Hall” will air from 8 to 10 p.m. ET, with anchor Chris Cuomo moderating conversations among scientists, technology leaders, journalists and cultural figures. The event will originate before a live audience at NewsNation’s studio in New York City, New York.
Scheduled guests include astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson; author and Prof G Media founder Scott Galloway; “Dirty Jobs” host Mike Rowe; medical futurist Dr. Dan Kraft; longevity researcher Bryan Johnson; Axios senior AI reporter Madison Mills; and Toborlife Robot Chief Technology Officer George Ekas. Walking and talking humanoid robots will also be demonstrated during the broadcast.
The discussions are expected to address AI’s effect on employment, personal finances, medicine, public safety, space exploration and travel. Participants will also consider how AI systems should be governed and who should determine the rules under which major technology companies operate.
The town hall will focus primarily on how AI is already affecting people rather than limiting the conversation to data centers, manufacturing and other infrastructure investments.
The town hall will preempt “On Balance with Leland Vittert.” NewsNation will air encore presentations at midnight and 3 a.m. ET Wednesday, July 29.
NewsNation also developed a standalone logo for the town hall, with the town hall title set in Proxima italic. The network removed portions of the letter strokes in the word “Future,” creating a stencil or spliced effect reminiscent of fonts often used for aerospace- and science-themed looks, including the iconic “Blade Runner” wordmarks.
A horizontal bar between “Future” and “Now” serves as both another nod to the spliced look while also drawing the eye to the small “is” part of the mark.
There’s also an iridescent blur effect behind the letters that makes them appear as if they are shooting forward toward the viewer.
Key art released by the network also includes a blue, violet and gold bokeh-effect background that has similarities to the look once used by “Cuomo Prime Time” on CNN.
