WWL names Ashley Talley news director

Tegna has named Ashley Talley news director at CBS affiliate WWL in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Talley brings more than 20 years of newsroom experience to WWL and has held leadership roles at several Tegna stations. She most recently served as news director at WZZM in Grand Rapids, Michigan, according to her LinkedIn profile.
She previously worked as interim news director at WOI in Des Moines, Iowa, and held interim news management roles at WGRZ in Buffalo, New York, and KSDK in St. Louis, Missouri.
Before joining Tegna, Talley served as enterprise executive producer at WRAL in Raleigh, North Carolina; news director at WMBF in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and assistant news director at WCTI in eastern North Carolina.
Talley said she is looking forward to working with WWL’s staff and building on the station’s connection with viewers.
Talley has received multiple Emmy Awards and a national Edward R. Murrow Award. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Brown University and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
