CNN International anchor Bianna Golodryga is leaving the network after nine years, becoming the second prominent international news personality to announce a departure from CNN this week.

Golodryga, who co-anchors “One World” alongside Zain Asher and serves as a senior global affairs analyst, announced her decision Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, in a post on X. Her final appearance on the program is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, 2026.

“After nine wonderful years at CNN, I’ve decided to leave for an opportunity that I couldn’t pass up,” Golodryga wrote. “I’m grateful for the experiences, friendships and support from fabulous colleagues during my CNN years. Exciting news to share very soon!”

A CNN spokesperson confirmed her departure. Golodryga did not identify her next employer or provide details about the opportunity that prompted her decision.

Golodryga joined CNN as a contributor in 2017 before becoming a full-time member of the network in 2019. She has covered international affairs, politics and economic developments, bringing experience from several major American television news organizations.

Before joining CNN full time, Golodryga worked at CBS News, where she co-hosted “CBS This Morning.” During part of that period, she held positions at both CBS News and CNN.

Her broadcasting career also includes assignments at ABC News and CNBC, where she covered business, financial markets and major economic developments.

At CNN International, Golodryga became a regular presence on “One World,” which provides coverage of international news and developments for audiences outside the United States. Her work as a senior global affairs analyst also included reporting and commentary on major geopolitical events.

Her departure comes days after Christiane Amanpour announced plans to leave CNN in 2027 after 43 years with the network.

Amanpour is expected to reduce her daily CNN International program to a weekly format in January 2027 before ending the series in May 2027. Her departure is scheduled for June 2027.

The two announcements come during a period of corporate transition for CNN following Skydance’s acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, which places CNN and CBS News under common ownership.

Mark Thompson is expected to remain CNN’s chairman and editor in chief under the new ownership structure. Skydance CEO David Ellison has pledged to preserve CNN’s editorial independence, although the consolidation has raised questions about the long-term direction of the two news organizations.

Neither Golodryga nor CNN has publicly linked her departure to the ownership change.

CNN has not announced who will succeed Golodryga as Asher’s co-anchor on “One World.”
