AccuWeather to debut interactive touch controls at NAB 2010

cinemalive2AccuWeather, the weather display and content generation provider, will debut its new interactive touchscreen technology at NAB.

The technology, available as an upgrade to CinemaLive HD or as a stand-alone system, lets talent quickly zoom and switch between various elements to report breaking news and severe weather. This allows the talent to “compose and present the story as it unfolds in real time.”

“The new technology will allow broadcast stations of every size, in any market, to produce the same sophisticated presentations seen on high-technology national and international networks – and at a very reasonable price,” stated Ryan Ayres, Executive Director of TV Products and Operations. “The system was designed to empower news and weather teams and impress viewers with the same futuristic control seen on network television.”

Along with touch technology, CinemaLive HD includes a true 360 degree 3D environment, integration of Bing maps and live-on-any-layer architecture.
