Speed, the motorsports based sports channel, has launched a new set for “Speed Center,” its recap program, similar to ESPN’s “SportsCenter.”
The set was designed by Larry Hartman of Jack Morton/PDG and built by blackwalnut. The set is built for standing and features many locations with lots of monitors and backlit plexiglass panels. One large 6 panel display is the main focal point with two other areas. The set features no desk, but does have a standing pod.
Overall, the set looks nice on air and fits the networks demographic. It feels similar to “SportsCenter” but different enough with its own look and feel.
