Tegna’s WXIA, 11 Alive, unveiled a new studio on July 22, 2024, just in time for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The redesign aimed to give the station a more contemporary look while enhancing the versatility of the space.
The anchor desk is now mobile, allowing it to be easily moved aside for stand-up or walk-and-talk segments in front of the main 1.9mm LED array. The weather desk is designed for two positions, providing a more dynamic storytelling environment, complemented by a 2×3 monitor array in the corner. The design leans into NBC branding throughout the space, with WXIA-specific branding limited to the desks.
