VRT updated “Het Journaal,” its main news program, on May 28, 2018, with new opening titles and insert graphics. The show’s set also saw a change in background with the virtual newsroom replaced by a skyline of Brussels.
Green is now used in the graphics tieing into the color scheme of VRT NWS. The graphics use augmented reality technology heavily for the opening along with segments like weather.
