Shortly after 10 p.m. ET, MSNBC, along with other cable networks, broke into regular programming to take a press conference held by Rep. Barney Frank on the country’s financial crisis.

MSNBC’s break in occurred just seconds into the taped rerun of “Countdown” and was introduced by Rachel Maddow, who had justed wrapped up the live edition of her own show.

At the beginning of the report, the animated lower third read “YBREAKING NEWS” but was quickly corrected on-air.

Of course, lower third typos are rather common, but it’s interesting that such a commonly-used graphic was accidentally modified.
