CNBC adds new element to top bar

CNBC has dropped a semi-transparent background behind its main anchor desk, giving the set a significantly different look that’s also modern and colorful. There are also some special lighting effects being used to project animated stars onto the background.
It’s also interesting to note, as shown above, that the bar that normally displays market data along the top of the screen is now being used for display electoral vote counts. It’s a nice way to keep the network’s familiar graphics while giving the night’s most vital information.
