MLB Network preparing to launch from Studio 42 and 3

The MLB Network is preparing to launch January 1 with lots of technology from the former studios of MSNBC in Secaucus, New Jersey.

“The new channel’s Studio 42, a nod to the uniform number worn by Mr. Robinson, baseball’s first African-American player, is a half-scale baseball field that the network’s ex-player analysts will use for demonstrations.”

“Studio 3, named for Yankees star Ruth’s number, will be the home of the nightly studio show, “MLB Tonight.” It features 62 video displays, including a 30 by 7 foot rear projection screen and a touch screen, as well as lighting that can replicate the feel of both day and night games.”
