Hawaii’s NBC affiliate to be first on islands to broadcast HD news

KHNL-TV, the Raycom-owned NBC affiliate serving Hawaii, will debut HD news just before Christmas. With the switch comes a new newsroom set from Devlin Design Group.
The station is offering viewers a sneak peak of the new look with a preview of the new set, which includes an interview with Dan Devlin, owner and creative director of Devlin Design Group.
At first glance, it appears the new set has a large, curved background element similar to that seen at WBFF-TV in Baltimore, the the fact that it’s a newsroom environment will probably add some new twists.
