Chyron to beef up Axis

Sports Video Group is reporting that Chyron will be adding several new features to its Web-based Axis graphics system this summer.

• A library and order management system
• Integration with Microsoft Visual Earth
• A third-party developer platform to integrate the order system with a database

Axis, which Chryon purchased last year, allows stations to create broadcast-quality graphics from any computer with an Internet connection.  It’s already been integrated at Gannett stations.
