WFLD-TV, Fox Chicago, has debuted their new Fox O&O set in HD from Blyth Design. The former set was a mishmash of previous design elements and upgrades, but the new set has the cohesive Fox brand. Also, WFLD-TV debuted in high definition along with the new Fox O&O HD graphics package, soon to be driven by Chyron Axis.

The new set uses the Fox Chicago brand throughout and has an oddly used plasma on the front of the desk, instead of the typical logo. The cityscape duratran is nice, but its missing Chicago’s main landmark, the Sear’s Tower. Instead, the duratran focuses on some more recent development downtown. Also, the duratran doesn’t seem fully lit.
