Viewers curious about where “Today Show” anchor Matt Lauer will be when the broadcast revives the venerable segment Monday can get a bit of a hint thanks to social media.
Taking advantage of hashtag art, the show’s website is offering up a mosaic (static version show above) that gets a square filled in every time someone tweets with the hashtag #WhereIsMatt. Non-Twitter users can also connect via Facebook to take part.
The feature, which is powered by the website HashtagArt.com, takes each user’s Twitter profile avatar, shades it appropriately and then adds it to a spot on the image.
