‘Rock Center’ gets custom URL shortener

NBC’s “Rock Center” has been using the domain “rockcenter.co” to direct users to its content via social media.

NBC News already has custom URL shorteners for MSNBC (and NBC News in general) and Today: on.msnbc.com and on.today.com, respectively.

The “.co” extension found in this domain name is actually the country-specific extension for Colombia, but has emerged as an alternative to “.com” when the latter isn’t available.
