NBC Chicago debuts new set, graphics and music
WMAQ-TV, the Chicago NBC O&O, debuted a new look this week that featured a new set, graphics package and music package. The station has posted a behind the scenes video on Facebook.
The set, designed by Clickspring Design, features a contemporary desk with a 9 monitor wall behind camera center. Back lit panels are on both sides of the monitor with wood and metal trim. The set also features a sleek weather center with many bezel-less monitors, and a standup area.
With the change, the newsroom view is now gone, after nearly 20 years on air.
As part of the total change, WMAQ-TV also debuted new graphics and new music:
The graphics were designed by NBC Artworks and are part of a large package for NBC O&O stations.
