Don’t tell Ron Burgundy, but sometimes reading whatever’s on the teleprompter can result in some good news.
Jillian Pavlica, an anchor at WZDX-TV, the Fox affiliate in Huntsville, Ala., was anchoring the Saturday evening newscast and began reading what she thought was the next story: “Fox 54 has just learned that a Huntsville news anchor is being proposed on live TV right now.”
Her coanchors left the set at that point, making way for Pavlica’s boyfriend to enter and make the proposal official.
