Content from Disney’s ABC owned an operated stations is now available on Amazon Fire TV.
ABC stations from the network’s New York City (WABC), Los Angeles (KABC), Chicago (WLS), Philadelphia (WPVI), Houston (KTRK), San Fransisco (KGO), Raleigh (WTVD) and Fresno (KFSN) markets will offer local content on new apps available for the ecommerce giant’s OTT TV service.
The content is free and doesn’t require a user to verify a cable subscription, a move geared toward cord-cutters.
However, the new local app doesn’t provide live streaming.
