Wisconsin station adds news drone

WKOW, the ABC affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin, has launched the market’s first TV news drone.

The station currently has one staffer who is licensed to operate the craft, but plans to expand that in the future.

The drone, branded on air as “27 Sky Track,” debuted on the station by providing newscasts with scenic views of the market.
