Mixing things up
Over the years, “Morning Joe” has also originated from both on the road and Studio 8H in 30 Rock — as well as using special anchor desks and looks for major political events.
For political conventions and other high profile events, the show would typically originate from a local bar or coffee shop converted into a makeshift studio.
For major political events, including post-election editions, the show took over Studio 8H, home of “Saturday Night Live,” and added a studio audience.
Some of these editions featured a blocky set wall, while others used the audience as the backdrop.
