On “Good Morning America,” the story was covered under the alliterative banner “Deadly Derailment.”

The broadcast used its normal breaking news lower third insert graphics that included a still image from the derailment in the lower left.

As it was introducing the story, the network showed one of the “alcoves” in its studio with a video panel at an extreme angle with an additional video array visible in the background. The camera then swept into the space, showcasing the two video walls with additional accident scene images and facts before using a vertically mounted panel to toss to a live shot.
