Network newscasts cover Tillerson firing

“NBC Nightly News” started from its “vista wall” video wall alcove with the straightforward headline “Tillerson fired” behind anchor Lester Holt.

“CBS Evening News” used a still photo of a stoic Tillerson for its title card Tuesday, which was also shown on a video panel in a wide shot just before anchor Jeff Glor opened the broadcast.
